Our Story    >

North Point Church has deep roots in the community, beginning in the 1940s as a small Sunday School hosted in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mabey.

Originally planted by the Full Gospel Church from a larger city-centre congregation, it was a humble beginning with a big vision.

In 1958, we built our first church building on Armfield Street in Bell Green, where we gathered and grew for nearly six decades.

In 2016, we moved into our current home on Roseberry Avenue, a former Methodist Church that had closed, giving us a new space to continue God’s work.

Our name, North Point, reflects both our location in the north of Coventry and our mission: to be a beacon of hope and support for our community.

We aim to serve as a hub of help for those in need and to be a bridge that leads people into a life-transforming relationship with Jesus Christ.

Who we are    >

We lead people to Jesus.
We love and serve our community.

"And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."
—JOHN 17:3

Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

—PHILLIPIANS 2:3-4

Our Vision    >

At North Point Church, we are passionate about helping each of our members discover their unique place, gifts, and potential, while deepening their understanding of who Jesus is and how much He loves them.

We believe that God has called us to work together as a team to serve and love our community. Our heart is to reach out to the lost, the overlooked, and the hurting, transforming them into world-changers through the power of God's love.

As a local church, we feel a strong call to step into our community, showing God's love and serving others in practical ways. We believe that God sees the vast potential in ordinary men and women, and we are committed to uncovering that “buried treasure.”

Our mission is to discover, develop, disciple, and deploy people so that they can fulfill all that God has created them to be.

Our Values   >

Generosity
Generosity is the core Christian value of being kind and unselfish, especially with our time and money.
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." — 2 Corinthians 9:7

Courage
We are called to live with boldness and confidence, trusting God’s strength. Courage is the opposite of fear.
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." — Joshua 1:9

Love
Love is at the heart of who God is, and it should be the defining characteristic of His children.
"And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." — 1 Corinthians 13:13

Respect
We honour and respect all people, recognising that everyone is made in the image of God.
"So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." — Genesis 1:27

Hope
Hope is a confident expectation and firm assurance in God’s promises and faithfulness.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." — Romans 15:13

Peace
Peace, a gift from God, is rest and tranquility in our hearts and lives.
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." — John 14:27
